Blueberries

I'm all set with sour cherries. Lots of competition for the sweet cherries. Peaches don't come in until the third week in July. Meantime, I'm making do with blueberries.

.

Dick cages his blueberries using plastic pipe for the supports. Bird netting
goes up and over three-quarters of the way from both sides, so it overlaps.
Access is from the ends, which are weighted down at all other times.

The bushes are so loaded down with fruit that the branches are sagging.

Just look at this luscious cluster of berries.

Tonight I made a creamy lemon pudding for dessert, topped with blueberries and softly whipped cream.
Delicious!
